Services

RefugeeLink is a young women-led social enterprise dedicated to helping refugees and host communities build sustainable livelihoods and stronger economic futures. We focus on practical support that helps displaced people integrate, find opportunities, and connect with Uganda’s growing private sector.

As a private-sector initiative, we complement government efforts by offering real, market-focused solutions that encourage self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and job creation. Our work aims to bridge the gap between short-term humanitarian aid and long-term economic empowerment.

Our team has experience working with major international development partners, including JICA, Mastercard Foundation, GIZ, and UNHCR, which helps us design programs that follow global best practices while staying grounded in local needs.

We are still expanding our programs and building partnerships, but our key services include:

  • Skills to Succeed: Skills training and mentorship for refugees—including direct support for those running businesses in agriculture, crafts, and small trade.
  • Private Sector Linkages: Connecting refugee and host-community entrepreneurs with buyers, employers, and formal market opportunities.
  • Community Integration: Supporting positive social and economic relations between refugees and host communities.
  • Translation & Language Support: Translating documents and offering language assistance to help refugees access services, training, and business opportunities.
  • Access to Finance: Linking small enterprises to microfinance institutions, savings groups, and financial services that support business growth.
  • Courses & Training: Offering practical courses such as financial literacy to improve employability and job readiness.
  • Job Opportunities: Supporting job placement, employability training, and connections to companies seeking skilled and semi-skilled workers.

As we roll out these services, we welcome partners who share our vision of creating sustainable, inclusive opportunities for Uganda’s refugee and host communities.
